Robert J. Foy, 59, of Ruma, formerly of Chicago, died Jan. 11, 2017, at his residence.
He was born July 15, 1957, in Oak Park, son of the late Robert J. and Lorraine Foy (nee O’Brien).
He married Donna Muzik on June 21, 1981 in Westchester; she survives.
He had been a truck driver and also worked in the printing business.
He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed boating, woodworking, cooking and working on cars. He loved his grandchildren and his faithful companion, Dozer.
Survivors include his wife; children Jessie (Ray) Mesa of Red Bud, and Bobby Foy of Glen Carbon; grandchildren Krobin and Delanie Mesa; sisters Kathy Passarelli, Maureen (Bill) Cotton, Geri (Hank) Tityda, and Pat Gabel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, niece Debbie Tencate and aunt Adeline McDunn.
He was cremated, per his wishes.
Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud, assisted the family with arrangements.
